Main Supportiing Foundation During Construction
Materials used in the EKO-System of removable floodwalls are of the highest strength and durability Aluminum.
The vertical shoring posts are of a new design and fiberglass materials construction, providing the highest strength with lighter weight and set up ease. This unique construction offers weight reductions of 40% --60% over competitive designs and gives barrier heights to 2 meters without additional bracing, providing significant cost savings over competitive designs.
High strength steel shoring posts are used for walls up to 18 feet and require additional knee bracing to support the panel beams. Knee braces are fabricated from steel.
The interlocking beam design assures a strong , watertight wall. Water tightness is achieved with replaceable rubber gaskets and membranes that slide into the retention grooves in the panel beams and vertical shoring posts.
All bolts, anchor plates and panel stabilizer rods are of corrosion resistant steel and are designed for repeated use.
Complete materials description, component design and construction details/blueprints are provided with the project design and construction proposal /estimate. Please contact us for answers to specific questions that you may have.

This image demonstrates the cornering capabilities of the design. Also shown is an option opening in the wall that can remain unconstructed until the time of the flood.
